To launch the Kia EV6 at the 2022 Super Bowl we created a new icon: Robo Dog. A lonely robotic dog sitting in a retail prison just hoping to find his forever home. The commercial kicked off an extensive campaign, that also included a QR Code-based "Robo Dogmented Reality" experience that enabled users to engage deeper and, through a partnership with the Petfinder Foundation, help real shelter dogs find their forever homes.
In addition, according to System1 research and behavioral science expert Richard Shotton, “Robo Dog” connected with audiences more than any other “environmental” advertisement over the past three years. Purcell joined webinar host System1 CCO Jon Evans to discuss best practices.
